History
Founded 1923
Founded in 1923 by Leonard E. Tranter in Kew, after the Baptist Union of Victoria purchased the Urangeline estate in 1922 to provide a Baptist education for boys; 68 boys and four teachers attended on opening day, 13 February 1923. The school is named after Baptist missionary Revd Dr William Carey.
